Iowa Quilters Guild - The state quilt guild for all of Iowa!
Come join us in an exciting new project!
Iowa Quilters Guild is starting a new initiative to document all of the different quilting groups in Iowa. We will be compiling a list of the names and towns of all of these different groups. Are you a small group or bee? Are you an incorporated guild with many members? How often and where do you meet? The quilting groups in Iowa have grown over the years as interest in quilting was revived in the bicentennial year of 1976. Iowa Quilters Guild would like to document these changes and offer you a Group Membership to Iowa Quilters Guild.
As a Group Member of the Iowa Quilters Guild,
your group would be entitled to the following benefits:
- A subscription to our newsletter that would be sent to your group contact person.
- Your group would be eligible for our new IQG Ambassador Program. You could select an ambassador from the list on our web site, www.iowaquiltersguild.com. Your group could contact an IQG Ambassador of your choice and arrange for them to come to your meeting to give you an introduction to Iowa Quilters Guild and then do a short program (demo, lecture, pattern sale, quilt talk, etc.) Your group would need to pay the ambassador mileage and $25 to $50 for the program.
- Your group name, location, and contact information would be listed on the IQG website and we would like a link from your website to ours.
- Your quilt show information and special classes or lectures could be listed on our website and in our newsletter.
- Your group could be featured in our new Group Member Spotlight in our newsletter.
- Your group could participate in special Group Member activities at our bi-annual quilt show.
- Your group would receive 4 coupons that would waive the $5 non-member fee and which can be used by any 4 members of your group when they register for IQG events.
- Your group just needs to fill out the attached form and mail it along with $20 dues to the address on the form. We will send you your first IQG newsletter.
If choosing to be a documented group only, fits your group better
your group would be entitled to the following benefits:
- Your group information will be added to our data base. (Your information will not be distributed to others and will remain confidential as part of our documentation data.)
- Your group will be added to the publicity mailing list of the Iowa Quilters Guild to receive our once yearly schedule of events and bi-annual quilt show information.
