The show committee and Iowa Quilters Guild members have been making many preparations for the upcoming show at the Perry Elementary School. NQA certified quilt judge, Scott Murkin, will be judging the quilts on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, he will lead two workshops and also give an evening lecture.

The show, which begins on Friday, features beautiful quilts by guild members from across the state. There will also be a silent auction of items made and donated by guild members, a fabric dive, a magazine/book sales area, and 13 vendors. In addition, free mini-demonstrations and lectures will be offered each day of the show and the beautiful pieced and hand appliquéd raffle quilt will be on display and tickets will be sold. It will be given away Saturday afternoon. Professional Quilt Appraiser, Jennifer Perkins, will be appraising quilts during the show.

On Friday evening, the guild banquet will be held at the Perry United Methodist Church and will be followed by a presentation by Betty Lenz. • Betty Lenz One-Woman quilt show. Spring Valley Retirement Community. Wed 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Forest Park Museum --antique quilts and textile related items display. Open daily 1:00-4:30 PM
• Friday Fest celebration. Downtown Perry on Friday evening.
